Gov. James Gilmore Speaks Out Regarding 9/11 Report

On July 28, 2004, Gov. Jim Gilmore was featured as a keynote speaker at the U.S. Law Conference and Exposition, where he addressed the topic of “America’s National Response Plan and National Incident Management System.” Gov. Gilmore also commented on the latest 9/11 Report recommendations. The U.S. Law Conference and Exposition is aimed at the country’s law enforcement community.

Gov. Gilmore also recently participated in an interview with CNN, in which he addressed the 9/11 Report’s recommendation to establish a National Intelligence Director. In the interview, he stated that until a national strategy is implemented that encompasses local, state, and federal emergency responders, a new position such as National Intelligence Director should not be added.

Gov. Gilmore is also a partner in the law firm, Kelley Drye & Warren LLP, practicing corporate and technology law and providing advice to clients on homeland security issues.
